Arrive in good health.
Please get plenty of rest, stay nourished and drink plenty of water to hydrate prior to your procedure!
Makeup or No Makeup on brows on the day of appointment?
Come with brows as you normally wear them so we can see the style you're used to. You may fill in your eyebrows as you normally would so we can take into consideration the shape you feel most comfortable with. We will remove any makeup and cleanse the area prior to beginning procedure.
If you regularly get your eyebrows shaped, waxed, threaded or tinted, please refrain from doing so within at least one week of your appointment. If there are any stray hairs that fall outside of our final shape, we promise to remove them.
Downtime:
While no downtime is required, there is a healing process during which color can vary and even flake or scab so many clients prefer a few days of downtime following the procedure but we also have clients who return to work the same day so when it comes to downtime its just a matter of preference.
Please refrain from all activities that may cause irritation of the skin or thinning of the blood prior to your appointment. FULL LIST HERE
SPECIAL EVENTS / VACATIONS / WEDDINGS
We recommend all cosmetic procedures be done 2-4 weeks before red carpet events, weddings, honeymoons, vacations, award shows or any special event/occasion - (especially if you plan to be in a tropical location with sun exposure). We're happy to discuss the ideal time frame with you according to your specific plans.
example: if I were attending a wedding as a guest I would feel completely comfortable having a cosmetic tattoo procedure 2 weeks before but if it was MY wedding I would book my cosmetic tattoo procedure 4 weeks before my wedding because you want to be completely healed with no time crunch. Wedding pics are forever!
Blemishes, acne, or skin irritations
If you are experiencing any blemishes, acne, or skin irritations leading up to your procedure please contact us. It is up to the discretion of your artists to decide whether or not they have a workable surface.
Failure to communicate any of these may result in a cancellation or rescheduling of your appointment that may include loss of booking deposit.
All deposits are nonrefundable.
ALWAYS
Consult your physician before discontinuing any medication.
THINGS TO AVOID BEFORE PROCEDURE
48 HOURS BEFORE
MEDICATIONS
It is advisable to avoid any blood thinners or medications /supplements that thin the blood for a minimum of 48 hours prior to appointment. These include:
Vitamin E
Aspirin
Niacin
Fish Oil Supplements
Advil / Ibuprofen
ALCOHOL
CAFFEINE
Caffeinated beverages or supplements including energy drinks, many teas and even kombucha that can also have caffeine
1 WEEK BEFORE
SUN EXPOSURE
MICRODERMABRASION
DERMAPLANNING
LASER TREATMENTS
*CHEMICAL PEELS - Since peels vary one week may not be long enough especially with more intense peels so we recommend you inquire with the provider of peel to know exactly when your skin will be fully healed and proceed accordingly. We will not be held responsible for work that disappears because skin was mid peel process without our knowledge.
1 MONTH BEFORE
SUN EXPOSURE
Please avoid SUN and TANNING BED exposure for a minimum of one week and preferably 30 days BEFORE and AFTER your procedure.
If you arrive for your appointment with a freshly tanned or a sunburned skin, we will be forced to reschedule and will forfeit your deposit. As your skin regenerates from a sunburn, it will take the pigment with it. Sun exposure can also cause excessive bleeding and sensitivity leading to poorly healed results.
2 MONTHS BEFORE
BOTOX, DYSPORT, JEUVEAU
No Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, or other botulinum toxin type A injections in the area of cosmetic tattoo for 2 months prior to receiving a cosmetic tattoo.
We recommend waiting until after your complimentary touch-up appointment heals to get Botox in the area.
Educated providers of Botox and dermal fillers will take your new cosmetic tattoo into consideration when choosing where to inject.
DERMAL FILLERS , INJECTABLE FILLERS
No filler injections in the area of cosmetic tattoo for 2 months prior to cosmetic tattoo procedure.
example: if you are receiving lip fillers we would not require you wait two months to get microblading but we would want you to wait two months before getting a LIP BLUSH TATTOO.
This is because fillers can settle, shift or change and this can affect the end result of a cosmetic tattoo so we recommend waiting two months after fillers to receive a cosmetic tattoo in the area and afterwards we recommend waiting until after your complimentary touch-up appointment heals to get fillers/injections.
Educated providers of Botox and dermal fillers will take your new cosmetic tattoo into consideration when choosing where to inject.
6 MONTHS BEFORE
DOXYCYCLINE
It is recommended to wait up to 6 months after using Doxycycline before receiving a cosmetic tattoo.
1 YEAR BEFORE
